Grand Coulee Dam Web Quest

The Mission

There are some people who believe that Grand Coulee Dam and other dams on the Columbia River should be breached, or removed.  Your job as a group is to research this possibility and make a formal recommendation to the governor of Washington whether or not the breaching of Grand Coulee Dam would have a positive impact on our state as a whole.  Your recommendation must include a formal letter and a PowerPoint presentation where you will outline your findings and convince the governor of your point of view.

The Process

1.  You will be assigned to a group of four.
2.  Your team will determine which area of impact each of you will study.  Areas Of Impact
3.  Each member of the team should use the internet to research and complete the checklist for your area of impact.  Research Requirements
4.  The following websites will provide the necessary information for each of your areas of impact.  You are also encouraged to use other sources such as newspapers, magazine articles, etc.  Research Links
