Read the police report filed by Mr. Claus to gain clues about the missing assessment tools.

Discuss the following questions with a neighbor:

*  When would you use a performance checklist instead of a rubric in your classroom?

*  Which assessment tool would be most appropriate if you need an accurate measurement, but want to provide the student with specific feedback as well?

Look over each of the following assessments that were recovered by the F.B.I. during the Elfin Mafia investigation.  Complete the portions that were deleted during the decryption process.  Given your time restrictions, decide whether you will tackle these individually, in pairs, or as a whole group.  However you approach this step, be sure that in the end, each individual in your group gains a complete understanding.
