Text Box: LITERACY CELEBRATION
On Thursday, January 27, we had authors Corinne Isaak and Karen Cooper and illustrator Don Nutt visit our school for the day. In assemblies and workshops, they explained how books are written, illustrated and published. It was an entertaining and educational day for everyone.
In the evening of the same day we held a Family Reading Rally. Students in grades K-5 and their parents were invited back to school to hear our storyteller, Mrs. Priscilla Walsh, read a couple of stories then students had an opportunity to read a new book to their parents. The evening ended with hot chocolate and cookies for everyone.
