Up Task Introduction Evaluation Process

 

Task One:

Take the virtual tour of the Grand Coulee Dam on Encarta.  Choose one of the features that you visit and write a 5 sentence paragraph telling about this feature and why it is important. Write the paragraph in your Webquest Journal. Draw or print out a picture to go with it.

 

Task Two:

Use to make a timeline of the major events of the building of Grand Coulee Dam and the Columbia Basin Project. Visit these websites to fill in the dates on your timeline. Be sure to visit them in order so that the dates on your timeline will be in order. For each date you will need to write at least two sentences telling about the event that happened on that date. You will also need to find a picture to illustrate most events.  When you are done you will know some important dates from Grand Coulee Dam and the Columbia Basin Project.

Task Five:

Choose one of the people from Task 4. You have been put in charge of building a monument to honor that person and the role they played in the building of Grand Coulee Dam or on the Columbia Basin Project. Where will you put the monument? What will it be made of? What will it look like? Make a drawing of your monument at its location.

 

Task Six:

Design a historical brochure for the Grand Coulee Dam Columbia Basin Project. Include the events from your timeline, Information about the primary roles of the project, Important people involved in the project. Facts about the project, and at least 2 sets of before and after photos of the area.
